I’m originally from Portugal, but my twenties were shaped by movement. I’ve called Porto, Dubai, Paris, and now Sydney home, and spent several years travelling the world, including a chapter working as cabin crew.

It was during those years that my relationship with photography deepened. I was never particularly interested in landmarks or picture-perfect postcards. I was drawn to the atmosphere of places, the charm of everyday moments, the way light fell on a café table, a street corner, a face. Photography became a way of holding onto the feeling of a place, rather than simply remembering what it looked like.

That way of seeing naturally found its place in wedding photography, and particularly in my love for 35mm film. There's something about the colours, textures and imperfections of analogue photography that feels especially true to the way I experience and remember things. Film is at the heart of my work, complemented by digital when needed. My approach brings together documentary observation and an editorial sensibility.

Alongside photography, reading has always been a constant in my life. Literature and photography are my two favourite forms of art, both grounded in observation, emotion and storytelling. I'm inspired by many creative disciplines, but these two have shaped the way I see the world most deeply.
